Infection Immunity Fort Attack Defense

In the body there is a unique mechanism to ward off the disease is called immunity or immune system immune system is formed from infancy and growing into adulthood. Especially in children, the disease deterrent system is still not established the maximum, and development of this immunity may be induced by administering immunizations or vaccinations.

Stimulation of the immune system is aimed to create a self-defense capability of invasive infections that might come at any time. If the immune system is not functioning pathogenic micro-organisms would be easy to get into the body and can cause health problems.

Antigen Antibody Reaction.
World of medicine is defined as the resistance relative immunity against micro-organisms, this resistance is formed based on immunologic response. If there are foreign substances that enter the body, the body will give a reaction that aims to preserve the body. Substances that enter the body is considered as the antigen so that the body will respond by forming antibodies. At first antigens to be destroyed into macrophages or monocytes, which is part of the white blood cells that serve as soldiers. But if most of the body forces will be overwhelmed.

Build Immunity
Immune system in children have not fully formed yet pathogenic micro-organisms are everywhere and always threatening. By giving immunity means we stimulate and develop the immune system. In general, immunization can be divided into active and passive immunization.

Active immunization is the immunity acquired as a result of reaction to the pathogen germs, usually for a long time and is permanent. Example immunity DPT, POLIO and typhus.

Passive immunization is an immediate temporary protection against disease, for example, serum ATS, anti-rabies serum and others.

Primary school age children should have been given complete immunization as BCG, POLIO, MMR, DPT, Hepatitis B. BCG vaccine given to children free of tuberculosis attacks the lungs. This vaccine should be given as soon as possible after the child was born 0-1 months or child after 4 months, re-vacsination given to children aged 4-6 years. Vaccine Diphtheria, pertussis and tetanus given at child age 2 months, and then repeated at children aged 4 and 6 months. Polio vaccination is done five times or four times repetition, repetition plus at the age of 10-12 months.
